Welcome!
I'm AJ Ulloa, a seasoned, empathy-led Commercial Executive with 20+ years of experience in eCommerce SaaS, Real Estate and Advertising. I've spent the last 13 years specifically in eCommerce SaaS, specializing in Partnerships, Business Development and Sales.
I've been humbled and fortunate to work for iconic companies like PayPal, BigCommerce, Shippo and high-growth/VC-backed startups. I've had the pleasure of living and working in Sydney, AU for 7 years, giving me a unique and real-world experience in global markets, specifically NA, EMEA & APAC. I believe in getting your hands dirty, creating urgency and leading with compassion and empathy.
My passion for partnerships started when I was a young sales person selling billboards for Lamar Outdoor Advertising. In my second year with the company 2007), I was fortunate enough to be the #1 sales person in the US Southwest region. How did I do it? By working my ass off? Yes. By hustling and always selling? Yes. But more importantly, PARTNERSHIPS. At the time, I was managing an ad agency who purchased all types of media (TV, Billboards, Radio) for their clients and they purchased all of their billboards through me. This one agency represented over 60% of my sales that year, shooting me into the #1 spot for the year. Alas, my passion for partnerships begins...
Since then, I've helped SaaS businesses, both high-growth and public companies like PayPal, scale their partnerships efforts. Through my extensive years of success (and several failures and mistakes), I want to help SaaS businesses find their footing in this complex eCommerce world through high-scale partnerships with equitable outcomes.
